Studio Etiquette

At Mindful Movement, we strive to create a relaxing atmosphere for our students.  Please be sure to arrive to the studio before the class begins.  This shows commitment to your practice, and honors the time of the instructor and the students who arrived on time. Once the door is locked, you will not be able to attend class.  Thank you for understanding.

-Upon entering the room, please silence and put away cell phones.

-Please refrain from wearing heavy colognes or perfumes to the studio.

-In a typical class, we move the body in many directions.  You will receive the most benefit from your practice if you refrain from eating or drinking two or more hours before you practice.  If you must eat two hours before class, make it something light (like a piece of fruit).

-Water is welcome at the studio if you need it, just please do not bring it in a container that will spill.

-Mats and props are available for use at no charge.  We only ask that you clean them when you are finished using them.

-Please wear something that is comfortable, but allows the teacher to see your form.  This helps us to see what verbal or physical cues you may need in your practice.

-Let your instructor know of any ailments, injuries, or conditions that may affect your practice.

Feel free to contact us about any other questions or concerns you may have about joining a class.  We look forward to practicing with you.
